Jennafer Martinez

Simply one of the nicest human beings you could possibly meet...until you do her class that is...Jennafer likes speed!!! In a recent CERN study, it was found that Jennafer's acceleration is faster than both Higgs and Bosun combined, with time to spare for a great big smile at the finish-line. A real all-rounder who can't get enough of high-intensity training, be it kickboxing, gym and so on...Match this up with a highly varied and always impeccable music selection and the 50 minutes fly by (faster than an F15 fighter pilot who's left the oven on). Serious calorie-burners!!

Alex Bronder

A.K.A. "The Juice-in-ator"
"Press de siste dråper saft ut av sitronen or squeeze the last droplets of juice out of the lemon." This is how they do it in Norway. Just when you think you've maxed out in his power interval training class style, he manages to push and push so that you give that little extra you think you didn't have. Oh, and it's not with smiles and giggles either as this Norwegian, who comes from a lineage of 11 generations of military officers, shouts "GO,GO, GO!" during his super sprint speed drills. Perhaps he missed his calling as a Sergeant but Spinbackers are lucky to burn off major calories and enjoy his American side with good taste in music. Heavy climbing with some thumping beats in class, catch "Pompei" by Bastille and "Something New" with Axwell Ingress as the switch and bait happy warm up. When not on the bike, Alex is an avid gym goer and skies in the winter (born with skis on). So when you see him in class and ask yourself, "Really, can the human body really pedal that fast?" think of his mantra for all you Spinbackers: "You have to do what others won't, to achieve what others don't."

Kelly Olver

Kelly's love for sports started at a young age – Dancing, running athletic races and cross country, water skiing and being a fierce Wing Attack Netball player in NZ from age 11. Her sport CV is as impressive as her big smile and “ready to rock and roll” 6am morning mood! It’s a solid sweat session you are about to experience.
When she’s not on the bikes, or out running the streets, Kelly is quite the foodie enjoying cooking, discovering the restaurants of Shanghai, traveling (to discover more foods of the world, or the best beaches to get a good tan). Join Kelly on the bikes for an early morning calories burning, heart thumping Spin class!

Eleanor Prescott

Meet Eleanor, who discovered the holy grail of spinning after one too many long distance runs which led to creaky joints. Now a certified addict, Eleanor enjoys the whole range of spinning classes; from max power interval sessions to dance party sweat sessions. She is serious about fitness and health, though equally dedicated to enjoying all of life's guilty pleasures including an annual Ibiza pilgrimage.

Eleanor’s sessions at Spinback are built around the playlist - classic house and dance mixed with current tunes brought together in a varied workout that will include hills, flats, jumps, and high intensity sprints. But most importantly, when you workout on the bikes with her, it’ll be fun. And challenging, ensuring you keep coming back for more!

Jillian Irvine

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Jillian has been with the Spinback crew since May 2016.
After 5 years as a varsity volleyball athlete, Jillian switched gears to cardio and lead a run club with Lululemon before heading out on an open ended back packing trip which lead her to China. She has been enjoying the Shanghai lifestyle since 2015. Jillian discovered Spinback through a referral and was captivated by the positive vibe and atmosphere. Whether you’re an elite athlete or trying spin for the first time, there is something for everyone. In Jillian’s class you can expect lots of sweat, speed, and even more fun! She likes to incorporate some upper body movements so be ready to get your whole body working.

Jillian’s most recent goal smashed was reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro over CNY. She is hoping to run a half marathon abroad in 2017.

LET THE RHYTHM TAKE CONTROL! Roger likes to switch between different music styles and different workouts but most important is “the beat”, the beat is your friend. Especially when we are going fast, but also in that crazy climb that make your wheel glow in the dark.
